This Marans are like the other chickies from the region of Marans, in that they lay a darker egg color...in the range of 5-8 typically on the Marans chart. This is NOT the Black Copper Marans...these chickies are all black in plumage, with a few white feathers when they are younger.
Like other Marans, they are super sweet and docile, with feathery legs and a wonderful, calm disposition. They become favorites in backyard flocks.
NOTE: Marans are one of the hardest breeds to sex accurately. The guarantee on the Marans is only 75%. Keep that in mind when ordering.
