Fawn & White Runner Ducks -- Upcoming

Indian Runner ducks, as they are known, are such fun ducks to have around.  They are different from your average duck in that they stand erect, like a penguin, and walk around your property. 

And they lay a lot of eggs.  A lot of greenish colored eggs to the amount of 300-350 eggs a year!  They do not fly, and do not lay their eggs in a nest, like other breeds of ducks or chickies.  Instead, they will drop eggs wherever they are when they want to lay them. 

They are not often swimming, and instead like to be foraging for worms, slugs and other bugs.  They are happy running around your garden helping you with insect control.  Your neighbors won't mind either, because they are not very noisy either, even the males.  The drakes quack sounds like a hoarse whisper.
